Abstract
This study analyzes the current state of urban development in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, focusing on key areas such as the Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone and the Phu My Hung Urban Area. It proposes strategic solutions for local spatial development from 2025 to 2045, particularly for functional areas including the Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone, the port system, warehouses along the Saigon River, and the Phu My Industrial Cluster. The goal is to promote sustainable urban growth, enhance residents' quality of life, and strengthen District 7's competitiveness. The study also explores strategies for developing green infrastructure along the Saigon River and optimizing the waterway and road transport systems to improve connectivity with neighboring regions, positioning District 7 for future development.
