Abstract
This study analyzes the current state of green agricultural development in Vietnam’s northern mountainous provinces in recent years, highlighting key achievements as well as difficulties and challenges related to infrastructure, technical capacity, investment capital, and public awareness. Using a political economy approach, the study examines the roles of the State, the market, and economic actors in the transition toward a green agricultural model. It also identifies major factors influencing this process, including institutional policies, labor resources, and natural conditions. On this basis, the study proposes several solutions to promote green agricultural development in an efficient and sustainable manner, aligned with the specific characteristics of the northern mountainous region.
