Promoting vietnam’s textile and garment exports to the eu market

Abstract
Textile products are Vietnam's main export products, accounting for a large proportion of the country’s total annual export turnover. However, after the European Union – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement took effect, Vietnam's textile and garment industry has not yet fully taken advantage of this agreement to exploit the European Union (EU) market. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic had negatively affected Vietnam’s textile and garment exports to the EU market in the past two years. This study points out opportunities and challenges for Vietnam’s textile and garment industry and proposes solutions to promote this industry’s exports to the EU market in the current context.
