Some difficulties in the economic relations between vietnam and the russian federation and long-term-oriented solutions

The Vietnam–Russian Federation economic relationship has continuously developed and achieved many significant results, especially since the two countries established a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2012 and implemented the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union in 2016. However, since 2022, bilateral trade relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation have faced many difficulties, and two-way trade turnover has declined. Therefore, this article analyzes the current situation and challenges, clarifies the causes, and proposes long-term orientations and solutions to promote Vietnam–Russian Federation economic relations in line with the potential and strengths of both countries.
