Impact of early family financial education to financial management behavior in teenagers and adults: A case study in Hanoi, Vietnam

Abstract
This research aims at examine whether family continuous finance socialization at childhood and adolescence associated with healthy financial behaviors in the adulthood. The authors classified people participating in the survey into 3 groups and assess their financial behaviors. The sample of 310 high school students and students in Ha Noi were 55.2% females, 44.8% males. The result indicate that early financial education from primary school age can improve children's ability to have good financial management skills significantly. In addition, continuous and long-term financial education also largely contributes to creating financial management habits for young children.
