Developing Da Nang city into a smart city through digital transformation and the digital economy

Da Nang city’s digital transformation and smart city building efforts have been recognized and highly appreciated by both domestic and international agencies and organizations. Especially for two consecutive years (2020 and 2021), Da Nang city was ranked first in Vietnam’s provincial digital transformation index in terms of digital government, digital economy, and digital society development. However, Da Nang city’s digital transformation and digital economy development still face many barriers and obstacles. This paper analyzes the reality of building Da Nang city into a smart city through digital transformation and the digital economy. The paper also proposes solutions to develop Da Nang city digital economy in the near future.
