Abstract
The global socio-economy has been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, the development of social enterprises is not only a general trend but also an essential solution solving social issues, promoting economic growth towards sustainable development that every country needs to pay attention, especially developing countries like Vietnam. This paper briefly outlines the current development of social enterprises in Vietnam and the challenges they are facing. Although social enterprises have continuously grown over the years, they still seem to be unable to perform their full potential. This paper also proposes some recommendations to support the development of social enterprises in Vietnam.
