Impacts of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on the energy, food markets and the world economy: Challenges and opportunities for Vietnam's economy

Abstract
As of early 2023, Russia's special military operation in Ukraine had lasted for more than 10 months. This conflict has created energy and food issues, escalated supply chain disruption, and impacted the global economy significantly. The Russia-Ukraine conflict causes many challenges for the world economy and also Vietnam’s economy. However, the conflict also brings some new opportunities for Vietnam’s economy. This paper is to analyze the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on the energy and food markets, and the global economy, and point out both challenges and opportunities for Vietnam's economy.
