The role of nine industries in the economic growth of Ho Chi Minh City

In 2021, service industries accounted for more than 60% of the economic structure of Ho Chi Minh City - the economic engine in the Southern key economic region. Ho Chi Minh City plays a key role in the economic growth of Vietnam and the city always lead the country's economic restructuring. However, the city's economic growth has been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as complicated economic-political fluctuations in Vietnam and in the world. This paper analyzes the current economic growth of the cuty and the role of nine service industries in the city's economy, evaluates the advantages and disadvantages and proposes some solutions to facilitate the development of these nine service industries in Ho Chi Minh City in the coming time.
