Constructing a Financial Stability Index for Listed Securities Companies in Vietnam: An FSI-4P Approach

Abstract

This study proposes a Financial Stability Index (FSI) model for listed securities companies in Vietnam based on the FSI-4P approach. Drawing on data from listed securities companies over the 2015–2024 period, the study constructs a composite index to comprehensively assess firms' FSI levels and analyzes the factors influencing this index. The findings show that the FSI provides a relatively comprehensive reflection of captures changes in the financial condition of securities companies across different market phases. Firm size and revenue growth exert a positive effect on the FSI, whereas operational risk and market interest rates exert a negative effect. The study contributes additional empirical evidence on firm-level FSI measurement and provides useful references for regulatory authorities, investors, and securities companies in financial management and risk management practices.
