Climate change policy solutions of the Bank of England

Abstract

This study analyzes the impacts of climate change on the UK economy and systematizes the policy solutions of the Bank of England in managing climate-related risks and supporting the transition toward a net-zero economy. The study employs analytical, synthesis, and comparative methods based on secondary data from the Bank of England, the UK Government, the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS), and related studies. The results indicate that the Bank of England has developed a comprehensive policy framework, including the formulation of climate change response strategies and the integration of climate risks into the monetary policy framework. These solutions contribute to enhancing the resilience of the financial system against climate-related risks while supporting the green transition of the economy.
