Developing tourism in conjunction with cultural industries in Ninh Binh province today

Following its administrative consolidation, Ninh Binh province is pursuing a transformative development strategy centered on cultural industries, leveraging its rich heritage assets and tourism potential to build a “millennial heritage city” anchored by the Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site. This vision seeks to create a creative, smart, sustainable, and environmentally friendly urban space while positioning Ninh Binh province as a leading cultural and creative hub in the Red River Delta region. This study analyzes the current development of tourism in relation to the province’s cultural industry potential and examines the synergies between heritage conservation, tourism, and creative economic activities. The findings highlight the strategic role of cultural tourism as a catalyst for regional development and emphasize the importance of a balanced model that harmonizes preservation and economic growth. The study contributes to the formulation of an integrated development framework for maximizing the value of heritage resources and strengthening the long-term competitiveness of Ninh Binh province’s cultural economy.
