Logistics service development in Khanh Hoa Province: Current status and key bottlenecks

Abstract

This study examines the current state and major bottlenecks in logistics service development in Khanh Hoa Province using data from the provincial logistics development project toward 2030, with a vision to 2050. Primary data were collected from five respondent groups between March and May 2026, while the article focuses specifically on survey results from logistics service providers and cargo-owning enterprises. Descriptive analysis shows that seaport infrastructure is assessed relatively positively; however, warehousing remains fragmented, multimodal connectivity is uneven, integrated service capabilities remain limited, and indicators relating to costs and service prices receive lower assessments than those relating to administrative procedures. Based on these findings, the study identifies three major implications: improving hinterland infrastructure and connectivity, strengthening the integrated service capabilities of logistics firms, and establishing a consistent logistics data baseline to support management and investment decisions.
