Value co-creation: Using applications of Artificial Intelligence in the insurance industry

Abstract
The rapid growth of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has foced insurance companies to change their businesses to keep up with advancements in information technology. The application of artificial intelligence in the insurance industry is considered an effective solution to improve the business performance and increase the customer satisfaction. This study reviews 105 documents are reviewed and conducts in-depth interviews with 10 insurance experts with artificial intelligence (AI) insights. The study finds out that AI applications can assist insurance companies in processing claims, doing underwriting, dectecting frauds, processing natural languagess, and enhancing customer experience. The study also highlights the benefits that insurance companies and contract owners gain when they use AI applications in insurance transaction management to co-create value for both parties.
