Developing a safe, transparent and efficient stock market in Vietnam

Vietnam's stock market has gradually developed and become more and more complete in terms of structure and scale, The stock market has played an important role in mobilizing resources for the country’s socio-economic development and macroeconomic stabilization. On July 11, 2022, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Resolution No. 86/NQ-CP on the development of a safe, transparent, efficient and sustainable capital market in order to stabilize macro-economy and mobilize resources for socio-economic development. This paper presents an overview of Vietnam’s stock market and proposes some solutions to develop a safe, transparent and efficient stock market.
