The application of information technology in Vietnamese logistics enterprises

Abstract
Thanks to the global economic growth and the diverse connections between countries, the logistics industry has experienced a remarkable development. The application of information technology increases the competitiveness of the logistics industry in general and logistics enterprises in particular. Therefore, logistics enterprises should pay more attention to the research & development and the application of information technology in their operation. This paper presents some information technology trends that have been applied in logistics activities. The paper also makes some policy implications to facilitate the application of information technology in Vietnamese logistics enterprises.
