Characteristics of a financial cycle and some financial development solutions to promote the economic growth of developing countries

Abstract
The impact of financial development on national economic growth is a topic of great interest not only in academia but also among policy makers. There are many different, even conflicting views on the financial cycle. This paper discusses the financial cycle’s characteristics of developing countries. Based on the paper’s findings, some solutions are proposed to develop the financial system in order to promote the economic growth in long-term.
