Some issues facing the economic development of inland waterway transport in the Mekong Delta

Abstract
Over the past time, inland waterway transport in the Mekong Delta has achieved remarkable achievements. However, there are still many shortcomings which affect negatively the development of inland waterway transport in the Mekong Delta. As a result, it is necessary for the state to have timely and effective solutions to overcome these shortcomings. In addition, it is important to keep developing the inland waterway transport in the Mekong Delta to help this region achieve sustainable development goals. This paper presents the current situation and proposes some solutions to develop the economy of inland waterway transport in the Mekong Delta.
