The relationship between inflation and VN-Index volatility on the Vietnamese stock market
Published: July 30, 2026
Abstract
This study examines the relationship between inflation and VN-Index volatility on the Vietnamese stock market from 2006 to 2021. The study’s results show that inflation has a negative relationship with the return rate of stock investment. It implies that the stock investment in Vietnam is not an anti-inflation investment channel. Besides, some companies still gain benefits when the inflation rate increases. This study makes some recommendations to help investors make optimal decisions for the upcoming period.
