A study on the factors affecting the decisions of individual investors in Vietnam's stock market

Abstract

This study explores the factors affecting the decisions of individual investors to invest in Vietnam’s stock market. This study uses the least squares regression method to analyze data collected from 206 individual investors who are customers of securities companies in Hanoi. Based on empirical evidence, the study identifies five factors affecting the decisions of individual investors, including profitability and stability, growth potential, behavioral finance, market sentiment and macro factors.
