This study analyzes the business performance of urban railways in Vietnam. The study provides an overview of the business performance of Hanoi Metro in recent years and the initial business results of the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line managed by Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Company No. 1 (HURC1). The study also examines key revenue components of urban railway operations in Vietnam. The findings aim to assist policymakers in developing effective investment, operational, and management strategies to enhance the business performance of urban railways in the country
