The Current Situation and Solutions for Improving the Digital Capability of the Banking Industry in Vietnam

One of the core factors determining the success of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) and the digital transformation of a country in general, as well as of an organization in particular, is the human factor. To ensure the success of digital transformation in the banking industry, it is essential to improve the digital capabilities of its human resources. This requires strong support from the Government, the banking sector, and other relevant organizations. This paper analyzes the current situation of human resources in Vietnam's banking industry and highlights the necessity of enhancing the digital capabilities of the banking workforce. Based on the findings, several solutions are proposed to improve the quality and effectiveness of human resources in the banking industry, thereby meeting the requirements of digital transformation in the coming years.
