Solutions for developing carbon credit market: international experience and lessons for Vietnam

The carbon credit market is a critical tool for countries committed to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to achieve carbon neutrality. As global demand for carbon credits surges, the development of a robust carbon market presents a significant opportunity for Vietnam to fulfill its climate commitments. To effectively establish and operate such a market, it is essential to learn from the experiences of leading carbon markets, including Canada, Europe, India, and China. This study analyzed these international models to identify best practices and proposed strategies for developing a thriving carbon market in Vietnam.
