The role of central bank digital currency in the digital economy

Abstract
In recent years, the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) has received much attention among researchers and policymakers. The CBDC is considered one of the potential policies for central banks, financial ministries and financial institutions around the world to solve existing financial problems, and improve financial inclusion and financial stability for the global payment system. This paper presents the definition and insights about the role of CBDC in the digital era.
