Current tourism development in Vietnam: Achievements, challenges, and policy implications

Abstract
Vietnam’s tourism sector has achieved certain accomplishments in recent years. However, to meet the objectives outlined in Decision No. 147/QĐ-TTg on the development of Vietnamese tourism until 2030, Vietnam still faces numerous challenges. In this article, the author analyzes the current state of Vietnamese tourism in the past period, the existing shortcomings, and the implications of several policies to develop sustainable tourism.
