The global supply chain disruption and the opportunity to attract international investment into Vietnam

The COVID-19 pandemic, the US-China trade war, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and the fighting between Israel and the Houthi rebels have had negative impacts on the world economy in recent times. A lot of economies around the world have fallen into a serious shortage of supply, leading to widespread economic stagnation. This phenomenon is also referred to as the disruption of the global supply chain. Many opinions have emphasized the need to restructure the global supply chain in the coming time to avoid the above issue happening. If the restructuring of the global supply chain takes place, it will bring many opportunities for countries in the coming time to attract international investment. However, how to become a destination for international investment capital flows in the coming time is a challenge for countries. This paper analyzed and evaluated the current global supply chain disruption, opportunities, and challenges, as well as solutions to attract international investment flows to Vietnam in the coming time, and proposed policy suggestions.
