Achievements and solutions to increase Vietnam's rice exports

As rice prices are increasing around the world and rice is also a strategic export product for Vietnam's socio-economic development, it is necessary for Vietnam to have appropriate solutions to increase rice exports while still ensuring national food security. This paper analyzes the achievements and proposes solutions to increase Vietnam's rice exports with four main contents, including: (i) Achievements of Vietnam in rice export; (ii) Analysis of the Vietnamese rice consumption market in the world; (iii) The price of exported rice and the comparative advantage of Vietnam's rice price compared to other countries in the world; and (iv) Solutions to increase Vietnam's rice exports to ensure national food security.
