The role of climate finance in emerging markets

Abstract

Climate fnance (CF) is the effective mobilization of fnancial resources to respond to climate change. It is considered the most effective strategy to mitigate the hazards caused by climate change, thereby promoting sustainable development. Therefore, this article provides an overview of CF and its role in emerging markets, and offers recommendations for Vietnam to effectively attract CF. In developing countries, climate change is increasing the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events such as droughts, floods and tropical storms, causing serious damage to communities, hence, climate fnance plays an important role in helping these countries reduce and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
