22 The real estate market situation in 2023 and early 2024

Abstract
The year 2023 posed significant challenges for Vietnam’s economy, particularly the real estate sector. Issues such as supply shortages, especially for middle-income housing, inflated housing and land prices, and difficulties for real estate businesses in selling properties and securing working capital, led to business insolvencies. This article analyzes these challenges and proposes solutions to address policy limitations, increase supply, and stabilize prices for apartments and land plots.
