Factors Affecting the Cash Holding Rate of Consumer Goods Companies Listed on Vietnam’s Stock Market
Published: July 28, 2026
Abstract
This study identified determinants of the cash holding rate of consumer goods companies listed on Vietnam’s stock market. The study’s panel data was collected from the audited annual reports and financial statements from 2017 - 2023 of 39 listed consumer goods companies in Vietnam. OLS, FEM, REM models, and FGLS were used to correct model defects. The study’s results show that dividend policy, return on assets, net working capital, and asset liquidity affect the cash holding rate of the companies.
