Developing Vietnam’s Tourism and Experiences from Some ASEAN Countries

Abstract

This study analyzed the current situation of Vietnam's tourism industry before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The study also assessed the recovery level of Vietnam's tourism industry compared to ASEAN countries, and summarized experiences, policies, and measures to stimulate tourism demand in some ASEAN countries, such as Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. Based on the study’s findings, some measures and policies were proposed to stimulate tourism in Vietnam and promote the attraction of international visitors to Vietnam as a branded destination.
