Some Solutions for the Development of Smart Tourism in Phu Yen Province in the Context of Industry 4.0

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) has created profound impacts on all social-economic fields, including the tourism industry. The extensive application of technological advances has become an inevitable development trend for Vietnam's tourism industry. The concept of "smart tourism" is increasingly popular across the country. This paper analyzed the current smart tourism development in Phu Yen province and pointed out opportunities and challenges for smart tourism in the context of Industry 4.0. Based on the paper’s findings, some solutions were proposed to help Phu Yen province develop its smart tourism.
