Analyzing factors affecting the decision of Cham people to join asparagus production cooperatives in Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan province

This study analyzed the factors influencing the decision of Cham people to join asparagus production cooperatives in Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan province. Descriptive statistics and binary logistic regression models were used to analyze the data collected from 122 farmers. The study’s results showed that variables such as gender, production area, proportion of income from asparagus farming, awareness of the benefits of increasing consumption, selling prices, and production cost reduction have a positive impact on the decision of Cham people to take part in cooperatives. However, biased perceptions about cooperative linkages have a negative impact on the decision to join cooperatives.
