Current situation and solutions for the development of Vietnam's marine economy by 2030

According to the Strategy for Sustainable Economic Development of Vietnam until 2030, the following industries, including tourism and marine services, marine economics, exploitation of oil and gas and other marine mineral resources, aquaculture and exploitation of seafood, coastal industries, renewable energy, and new marine economic sectors, will be the spearheads for successful development and breakthroughs in the marine economy. This paper analyzed the current marine economic development in recent times and pointed out limitations in aquaculture, seafood exploitation, marine tourism development, and marine traffic. Based on the paper’s findings, some solutions were proposed to facilitate the marine economy's achievement of its set goals.
