Challenges and solutions for developing new economic models

In the context of globalization and mounting environmental, social, and economic challenges, Vietnam faces an urgent need to transition to new economic models aimed at sustainable development. This article analyzes the key challenges in developing these models, assesses Vietnam’s current capacity for adaptation and implementation, and identifies critical gaps. Based on this analysis, the study proposes a series of solutions to accelerate the transformation process, including: improving institutional and legal frameworks, increasing investment in science and technology, enhancing public awareness and business capabilities, and strengthening international cooperation. A synchronized and comprehensive implementation of these measures is essential not only to improve economic efficiency but also to achieve a balance between economic growth and environmental protection, thereby contributing to Vietnam’s fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
