Abstract
The Northern Midlands and Mountains region is one of Vietnam’s six economic zones, receiving governmental attention yet still facing significant socio-economic challenges, including the lowest per capita income and the highest income inequality in the country. This study analyzes the interaction between fiscal policy factors and income inequality to propose solutions for narrowing the income gap in the region. The findings highlight the critical role of increased investment and improved household education in reducing inequality and fostering economic growth. These insights provide valuable guidance for policymakers and strategists in formulating effective measures to promote equitable and sustainable development in the region.
