Digital competency and human resource strategy in the digital age: theoretical foundations and policy implications

Abstract

This study explores the theoretical foundations of digital competency and its influence on human resource (HR) strategy in the digital era. By analyzing established theories, the research examines how digital competency transforms key HR practices, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Additionally, the study proposes policy recommendations to enhance digital competency in HR strategies, fostering a workforce capable of navigating digital transformation. Employing a comprehensive literature review, the research synthesizes academic and practical insights from international sources to provide a well-rounded perspective on the evolving role of digital skills in human resource management.
