The impact of technological environment factors on attracting high-tech FDI in Vietnamese localities

Abstract
Attracting Foreign Direct Investment in high technology is a critical issue for policymakers in Vietnam, as it plays a significant role in economic development. This paper introduces a new conceptual framework for high-tech FDI and the technological environment, providing a theoretical basis for understanding the impact of the technological environment on economic growth. It also examines the current status of high-tech FDI attraction in Vietnamese localities and analyzes the factors within the technological environment that influence FDI inflows. Based on these insights, the study proposes several solutions to enhance the attraction of high-tech FDI in localities across Vietnam, aiming to foster technological advancement and sustainable economic growth.
