Attracting FDI in Vietnam’s semiconductor industry: Opportunities and challenges

The semiconductor industry is recognized as a cornerstone of the digital economy. By the end of 2024, Vietnam has successfully attracted numerous large-scale foreign direct investment (FDI) projects in this sector, highlighting the country's growing importance amid the global production shift. Major international corporations are increasingly viewing Vietnam as a promising investment destination. This study analyzes the current opportunities and challenges faced by Vietnam’s semiconductor industry in attracting FDI, offering insights into its potential for future growth and the strategic factors necessary for sustaining momentum.
