The role and policy of developing innovation data to support green growth and sustainable development

Abstract
Green growth and sustainable development are inevitable trends worldwide. Innovation and the application of new technologies are the key drivers for achieving these goals. In this context, big data and artificial intelligence (AI) play an important role in analyzing, monitoring, and supporting decision-making for green policies and solutions. On that basis, the paper proposed policy recommendations to develop data and AI to serve green innovation in Vietnam, including developing human resources, databases, a creative startup ecosystem, encouraging private investment, and international cooperation. The paper also discussed solutions to apply big data and AI to smart agriculture, renewable energy, green transportation, and environmental management.
