Factors affecting the performance of state-owned joint stock companies listed on the Vietnamese stock market

Abstract

This study examined the impact of factors on the performance of 185 listed state-owned non-financial joint stock companies on the Vietnamese stock market in the period 2015–2022. The study’s results showed that the capital structure, which is measured by total debt to total assets (LEV), firm size (SIZE), tangible fixed assets (TANG), current ratio (LIQ), and enterprise age (AGE), has different impacts on the company's performance. The company's performance is measured by the ratio of the after-tax return on total assets (ROA).
