Situation and solutions for Vietnam’s import and export of goods in the first 10 months of 2023

This paper analyzed the results achieved in Vietnam's import and export of goods, especially in the first 10 months of 2023, the most difficult period after the COVID-19 pandemic. The paper also pointed out the challenges facing Vietnam’s trade in the last months of 2023 and early 2024. Based on the paper’s findings, some solutions are proposed to help Vietnam stabilize its trade balance in the following years, such as: synchronously implementing measures to improve the quality of exported goods; participating in the global value chain; attracting investment to develop infrastructure and services for exports; etc.
