Current situation and solutions for the development of An Giang province’s digital economy

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has brought many changes to many industries. It has promoted technology development, and industries are gradually imposing digital transformation to keep up with trends around the world. This study evaluated the current An Giang province’s digital economy, pointed out the achieved results and limitations, and identified the causes of these limitations in the digital transformation of An Giang province. Based on the study’s results, some solutions are proposed to facilitate the development of An Giang province’s digital economy in the coming time. For example, the People's Committee of An Giang Province should quickly support and build technical infrastructure and applications for digital economic development; enhance training activities to update knowledge about the transition from the traditional economy to the digital economy; keep improving the quality of human resources; and promote the development of e-commerce.
