Developing economic training programs in Vietnamese universities by using the CDIO model

CDIO is an educational reform model that meets the needs of the profession, providing a set of tools with 12 standards to comprehensively develop necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes, and practical abilities (C-D-I-O competence) for learners. The CDIO implementation process has been mentioned for a long time, but it is still a complicated issue for universities in Vietnam. This is because the CDIO implementation requires basic conditions such as facilities, lecturers, staff, training programs, students, etc. that meet CDIO standards. In addition, it requires a standardized and unified processing system to successfully implement the CDIO. This paper proposes some recommendations to apply this model to build economic training programs in Vietnamese universities.
