An overview of popular online review platforms that influence customers' online purchasing decisions

Abstract
Online shopping has now become a habit for many Internet users, especially when technological advances support it fully. However, online shopping still poses certain risks. Many consumers are consulting online reviews before making online purchase decisions to reduce their own risks. This paper clarifies the concept of online reviews, examines how popular online review platforms impact the purchasing decisions of consumers, and points out the problems facing these platforms. Based on the study's findings, some recommendations are made to online sellers to help them better take advantage of online reviews to improve their business performance.
