The application of information technology in teaching listening skills to second-year students with language majors at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade

Abstract
This study identifies factors and measures their impacts on the application of information technology in teaching listening skills to second-year students with language majors at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade. In this study, mixed research methods, including qualitative and quantitative research, were used to analyze a sample of 142 survey subjects. The study’s data was collected through survey questionnaires, and then the data was processed using SPSS software. The study’s results show that the factors affecting the application of information technology in teaching listening skills for second-year students with language majors are capacity to use information technology, information technology resources of the university, attitude and motivation of lecturers, and policies and concerns of school leaders. Based on the study’s findings, some implications are proposed to improve the application of information technology in teaching listening skills to second-year students with language majors at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade.
