Exploring the effects of alliance strategic orientation and dynamic capabilities on the upscaling of SMEs through the structural equation model

Abstract
This paper presents a structural equation model to investigate the effects of alliance strategic orientation and dynamic capabilities on the upscaling of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The model uses a resource-based view and general theory of cooperation between businesses to propose the impact of the alliance orientation and the dynamic capabilities on the upscaling of SMEs and explore the mediating effect of the dynamic capabilities in the relationship between the alliance orientation and the upscaling of SMEs. In addition, the model is also built to consider the relationship of the supply chain linkage with the alliance orientation and dynamic capabilities.
