Achievements and issues of Binh Thuan province in attracting foreign direct investment

Foreign direct investment (FDI) is an important additional source of capital to the total development investment capital, and FDI is considered a driving force for the socio-economic development process. Binh Thuan province has made great efforts in improving provincial infrastructure, adjusting and supplementing a number of preferential policies, reforming administrative procedures through the “one-stop shop” mechanism, organizing foreign investment promotion conferences and seminars, etc. to attract more FDI into the province. This paper evaluates Binh Thuan province’s FDI attraction achievements. Based on the paper’s findings, some solutions are proposed to help the province better attract large-scale and modern technology FDI projects in the coming time.
