A study on the factors affecting the successful implementation of ERP systems in Vietnamese enterprises

Abstract
This study identifies the main factors affecting the successful implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in Vietnamese enterprises. The study finds out that there are 36 variables based on managers' perspectives affecting the successful implementation of an ERP system. These variables are grouped into 5 factors, including: the user engagement, the leadership involvement, the business process re-engineering, the ERP implementation team and the coordination of departments. This study is expected to help business leaders and managers understand the important role of ERP system in the business performance and the factors determining the successful implementation of ERP system.
