A research model exploring the factors affecting the job satisfaction of Generation Y employees working for companies in Hanoi city

Abstract

Employee satisfaction has a significant impact on the work performance of individuals as well as the turnover rate, the overall performance and success of a company or an organization. However, each generation in the workplace has its own characteristics formed from different social backgrounds. As a result, the factors affecting the job satisfaction of each generation are different. Generation Y employees are accounting for the highest percentage of population and labor force. However, there are not many studies on this generation in Vietnam. This study proposes a research model to explore the factors affecting the job satisfaction of Generation Y employees working for companies in Hanoi city.
